A collection of ambient soundscrapes. Many flavors. Some you like, some you don't... spooky...spacey...relaxing... and disturbing. You be the judge. Recommended listening with headphones... lots of stereo-play and subtleties.

New comer QX#55 from Latvia with full album. It has no concrete musical style, it starts with ambient sounds, then something from IDM... wide range of electronica. "Those tracks are produced in last year and some are fresh".

8 months ago QX#55 released 2 full-length albums, and he came back with another massive compilation. His previous "2055 Ambient Course" was, he said, "like a gift to my friends in Christmas". Now, this will be a gift to us in Christmas.

Those tracks came from his last 5 years. Some of them are fresh, some are composed in 2004. They made up QX#55's 4th release, Primavera (spring). "Vanilla Sky" and "Antrax" are from St. Desire and QX#55.

"I've been writing this album for 2 years - from 2007 to august 2009. different ideas of the sound of the type were born in my mind during this time so now it's difficult to say if it helped this album to sound complete or not. Also it's hard to name the style of the album - it could be electronic, IDM or techno mixed with the orchestral instruments (the second part of album is full of monotonous rhythms mixed with melodic pictures of orchestral instruments) it's not so easy to speak about...

The Lazarus Plain is an instrumental, synth-based project inspired by the ceremonial concepts and religious rituals of the Christian faith. The album structure was designed to mimic the interweaving songs of post Sid Barret era Pink Floyd. This piece took approximately three years to complete, has been released in numerous formats, and now it's free. http://blueharvestrecords.googlepages.com/

This highly abstract release from Kikapu newcomer, roto visage, is mostly minimal, yet in some instances dense, containing layer upon layer of bleak, disturbing and desolate soundscapes. His debut album, "der golem," can be closely aligned with dark ambient yet moves away from the genre with its organic, meditative explorations. The inherent isolation within the tracks is at times uncomfortable, a forced introspection, but quickly sinks into a dark solitude, as though anything beyond...

Prolific is a collection of the 12th, 13th and 14th album-a-days by electronic musician Adhesion. This whole release was written and produced in the span of about 4 days total (August 21st-24th, 2006), within the rules of the album-a-day project. Tracks 1-7 make up part 1, which is faster and more slanted towards techno and IDM with a little jazz at the end. Part 2 is tracks 8-14 and is made up of ambient and downtempo with the last track being dub. The last part of the album is a return to the...

A "mic in track" is a recording made on a PC using MusicMatch Jukebox, a music utility packaged with many new PC's that allows the user to record from the microphone input of the PC's sound card and save the recording in mp3 format. The default filename is "mic in track" followed by a number. If that user also happens to be running a peer-to-peer file-sharing program, and unwittingly shares the directory in which the mic in track is stored, then these personal recordings can...

after giving you a glimpse of the cold and abstract side of laridae with "wencoded", we now start into 2007 with a full-length-album by our newest artist iambic2, probably the warmest and most beautiful release on laridae so far. somewhere between sigur ros, mum, julian fane, milieu and SAW2, iambic2 produces and sings his songs of love and longing. on "Under These Stars, We'll Sleep Again", his debut, he presents you 13 songs, 13 beautiful pieces of emotional indietronica.

The fourth release from electronic musician Adhesion. Originally conceived as an attempt at 7 Album-A-Days in 7 days, it quickly degenerated in a mad rush to reach the goal of 140 minutes. The whole project, from start to finish, took 11 days instead of the planned 7. The result is a double album that defies classification, crossing through genres like downtempo, ambient, techno, trance and noise. More info: http://www.evilresidence.com
